Slapstick 2009 is coming!
Dates are now confirmed for Bristol's fifth silent comedy festival.
With a Special Gala event hosted by Paul Merton at Colston Hall in addition 2009's programme will include events at The Bristol Old Vic, Arnolfini and of course Watershed.
The programme will run from Thursday 22nd January until Sunday 25th and confirmed guests returning include Paul Merton, Tim Brooke-Taylor and Graeme Garden and Neil Innes.
Highlights include a screening of Keaton's classic feature OUR HOSPITALITY at Colston Hall on Friday 22nd January 8pm with a newly adapted semi improvised score performed by the five piece PRIMA VISTA SOCIAL CLUB/. Plus national treasure ERIC SYKES and THE UKELELE ORCHESTRA OF GREAT BRITAIN will be appearing to premiere new music to silent comedy films from the National Film Archive. It has to be the best SLAPSTICK yet !
